Privacy Policy

In plain language: we collect only what we need to answer you and deliver our services, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to update or delete it at any time.

This page explains what information Humble Brand Marketing ("HBM," "we," "us") collects when you visit our website or work with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep this short and readable on purpose. If anything here is unclear, just contact us and we will explain it.

Who we serve

Our website and services are intended for businesses based in the United States. We do not market or offer our services to customers outside the United States.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of privacy-friendly, anonymous traffic data. Specifically:

  • Contact form and messages. When you reach out through our contact form or message widget, we collect the details you submit, typically your name, email address, business details, location, and message. We also attach the campaign labels in the link you used (such as UTM source, medium, and campaign), the first page you visited, and the referring site's domain and path so we can tell which outreach produced the request. We do not attach referring-page query strings.
  • Free audit / Local Visibility Scorecard. When you request a free audit or scorecard, we collect the business details you provide so we can review your online presence and send back results.
  • Newsletter signup. If you opt in to our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you updates you asked for.
  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and cookieless. For visits originating in the United States, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors find and use the site, including popular pages, traffic sources, anonymized heatmaps, and session replays. Google Analytics and Clarity may use analytics cookies. We do not load either service for visits originating outside the United States.

How we use it

We use your information for a small, specific set of purposes:

  • To respond to your questions and follow up on your request.
  • To deliver and improve the services you hire us for.
  • To send updates, tips or offers only when you have opted in, such as our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Who we share it with

To run our business we rely on a few trusted third-party tools, and your information may pass through them strictly so we can serve you. These processors include:

  • An email delivery provider for sending and delivering email.
  • Cloudflare for website hosting and the cookieless analytics described above.
  • Google for analytics (Google Analytics) and for business and productivity services.
  • A third-party CRM and marketing-automation platform for managing leads and follow-up.
  • A local rank-tracking and reporting tool for measuring local search performance.
  • Our newsletter tool for managing email subscriptions and sends.

Each of these providers has its own privacy and security practices. We share only what is needed for them to perform their function, and we may also disclose information when required by law.

Cookies and your choice

We keep cookies to a minimum. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are enabled only for visits originating in the United States and may place analytics cookies used to measure site activity. They are not loaded for visits originating outside the United States. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Your rights and choices

You are in control of your information. At any time you can:

  • Ask us what personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or update it.
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Opt out of marketing emails by clicking unsubscribe in any message, or by emailing us.

To make any of these requests, email us at [email protected] or use our contact page. We will respond promptly and verify your identity before acting on a request.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. When we no longer need it, we delete it or anonymize it. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we are legally required to keep certain records.

Children

Our website and services are intended for business owners and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
